We shot this portrait of Rachel and Name along scenic drive in Australind at Name’s family home. The bike had just been sold so we needed to capture a few images with it before it disappeared for good. I look forward to shooting some action shots of Name on his new beast. Rachel is a beautiful girl and was a joy to photograph, really enjoyed spending the time with them both ( and not just because of those delicious home made biscuits

We spent a sensational Sunday with this fantastic couple, having a ball with them and shooting some great pictures at the Joondalup Golf Resort in Perth. Lauren had two fantastic bridesmaids in Erin and Alicia and Chris had two great guys in Sean and Andrew to complete their bridal party and we laughed all day, which makes the photography session so much more enjoyable. Here is a very small selection of wedding pics to share with you and we can’t wait to finish your stunning wedding album. Thanks again for the beautiful flowers and bottle of wine, Steph and I really appreciated the prezzies. Very much looking forward to that game of golf we have planned with the boys

Thanks Steve and Steph. We are absolutely stoked with how our pictures turned out. Everyone we show them to comments on how awesome they are. Thanks Steve for making the photo session of the wedding flow so easily and you made it fun and relaxed. For not normally being photo-people you made it so comfortable. And Steph, thankyou for all the little bits and pieces that you did for me from flowers to fixing dresses. You were fabulous. A big thankyou to you both, we could not have asked for anyone better on the day. Cant wait to see the final album – counting the days!
Lauren and Chris.

Landscape photography offers so many fantastic opportunities, and not just photographic. We live on an amazing planet and getting out into the environment can be relaxing and very enjoyable, and capturing great landscape photographs is obviously very rewarding. There are so many nuances in every location depending on the time of day and therefore the amount and quality of light available to you. Landscape photographs can be light and vibrant or they can be dark and moody as the two images below show.

Aerial view of river tributaries near Derby in the Kimberley Western Australia.

Fishing at sunset in the pristine Leshenault Inlet SW Western Australia.
Spend time familiarizing yourself with your location and if it is new to you take time to scout around searching for interesting landforms and perspectives. Look for leading lines that will draw and wind your eye into and through the picture as these two landscape photographs show.

Wet season in the Kimberley - Western Australia.

The amazing tones of the Kimberley.
The ocean has so many moods, moods that can change in the blink of an eye from calm, languid and serene, to frighteningly angry, boisterous and deadly. All of these moods create wonderful opportunities for a landscape photographer. As with all landscape photographs that include water you can create a range of “feels” by using a tripod and altering your shutter speed. Fast shutter speeds will freeze the movement while slow shutter speeds allow the water to move across the plane painting soft mystical lines.

Angry ocean - fast shutter speed.

Beautiful Bunker Bay in Dunsborough - slow shutter speed.

Eco Beach Wilderness Retreat is a corporate client of ours, and we have had the pleasure of seeing the resort rebuilt after it was destroyed by Cyclone Rosita in April 2000. The photographic opportunities around the retreat are boundless, with breathtaking vistas that are incredible in their vastness, colours and diversity. There are rugged cliffs painted Kimberley red that stand strong against the most amazing blue waters of Roebuck Bay, sunsets like paintings, and more stars than you have ever seen when night falls. For a corporate photographer it is truely one of the worlds most remarkable destinations. Here are a small sample of the photographs from the recent assignment and I look forward to sharing many more great images with you very soon.

These pictures were taken on the beautiful family property in Donnybrook. It was such an easy portrait to shoot with the girls being great little models. It is always fantastic to take portraits with people being in the environments that mean something special to them like these guys. We were lucky enough to do the wedding photography for Zac and Nic and it is great to be shooting family portraits for them and watching their beutiful girls grow.

The girls having a great time.

Enjoying their wonerful backyard.

The track winding back. To home that is.

It is hard to remember after such a long hot dry spell that in amongst that there have been a couple of days that rain did fall, and Geoff and Leannes’ wedding day was one of those days. The great news though is that by the time we came out of the St Thomas Moore Church in Margaret River the worst of it had passed and only the howling see breeze was left to deal with. Leanne dressed at the Riverglen Chalets in Margeret River and the reception was held at the beautiful Notting Hill Vineyard in Margaret River.

Leanne and her very cute flower girls.

Leanne and Geoff sheltered from the wind in a fabulous location.

The Yallingup and Margaret River coastline is amazing.

Geoff and Leanne with some of their special friends.

Poor Leanne fighting the wind, but still laughing about it.

A great group braving the elements on the jetty at Notting Hill.

How cute are these two, Jeremy and Mitchell I mean! Now for all of you who are soon to married take note – This wonderful couple Katrina and Mike were wedding clients of ours and they were obviously very much enjoying their honeymoon and then were promptly given the news that they were about to become a family of not 3 but 4. We all laughed non stop through the shoot, these two little blokes are hilarious.

We love spending time with these guys, they are a great family and great fun. It is a laugh a minute when Joe is around and the portrait was no different. The family portrait was shot around their property, they love the land which is a great thing because they grow the tastiest and bestest carrots in the world.

Joe, Sonia, Danielle and Josh at the old shearing shed.

Josh and Danielle - look at those great smiles.

Son with her beautiful hair on fire and Joe's has already been burnt!
